Act I
A small village. Giselle, a young peasant girl, is in love and is confident that she is loved. The gamekeeper, who is in love with Giselle, tries in vain to persuade her that Albrecht, her loved one, is not a peasant at all but a nobleman in disguise and that he is deceiving her. The gamekeeper manages to steal into the cottage, which Albrecht is renting in the village, and here he finds a silver sword with a coat of arms on it. Now the gamekeeper knows for sure that Albrecht is concealing his noble origins. A party of distinguished noblemen, attended by a sumptuous suite, seek rest and refreshment in the village after the hunt. The peasants give their guests a cordial welcome. Albrecht tries to hide the fact he knows them for, in their company, is his betrothed, Bathilde. Meanwhile the gamekeeper shows everyone Albrecht’s sword and, unmasking him, tells them of the latter’s deceit. Giselle dies.

Act II
Night-time. The Wilis, died brides, appear among the graves. 
The Wilis catch sight of the gamekeeper who has come to visit Giselle’s grave. At the command of Myrtha, the Queen of the Wilis, the Wilis encircle the gamekeeper and make him dance until he drops lifeless, to the ground. Albrecht too, is unable to forget Giselle. He comes to her grave. Albrecht is now threatened by the same horrifying fate as the gamekeeper. But the shadow of Giselle now appears and her eternal and self-sacrificing love protects and saves Albrecht from the anger of the Wilis. The Wilis vanish with the first rays of the rising sun. Giselle’s shadow vanishes, but Giselle will always be alive in Albrecht’s memory.

First act

Cour des miracles of the medieval Paris. The vagabonds and beggars got together to piece up with their criminal lord Clopin Trouillefou. The poet Pierre Gringoire accidentally got here. He is useless for them and Clopin orders to hang him up. Gypsy girl and a dancer Esmeralda has a big heart and she saves the poet. The archdeacon Claude Frollo is mad about the gypsy girl but she rejects his love. Frollo orders to catch the poor gypsy but captain of the King`s Archers Phoebus de Chateaupers rescues her. The meeting of Phoebus and Esmeralda becomes the beginning of their love. When going away Phoebus gives the girl his scarf . Wrapped in her memory Esmeralda doesn`t notice Gringoire coming. The poet tries to give the gypsy a hug, but she pushes him back. She rescued him out of pity. The poet is just her companion for dancing on the street. Claude Frollo is waiting for the poet to leave. He offered Esmeralda to be his beloved woman.

Second act

Noble Fleur de Lys` palace. The hostess is preparing a celebration for her engagement to Phoebus. The gypsy dancers are invited to the ball. Esmeralda is among them. In the midst of the celebration Fleur de Lys notices her scarf on girl`s neck. It was her gift to her fiancé . Angrily she calls off the engagement. The square in Paris. The gypsy girls and Esmeralda came here after the ball. Phoebus follows them. He swears his affection to the girl. Frollo looks at them and follows them out of jealousy when they are leaving. On the following moment Esmeralda runs into the square with bloodied scarf. People carry the Phoebus` body. Frollo declares that it`s a the murder and Esmerald is guilty. Gringoire calls people to help Esmeralda but they celebrate loudly a carnival. The time of execution is coming. Frollo appeals to Esmeralda and offers to release her in exchange for her love, but the gypsy curses him. However, Phoebus wasn`t killed. He appears and declares her innocent. He points the finger at the real killer. Frollo raises the dagger but Quasimodo wrests it from the priest. The priest throws himself in Sena. The justice prevails. Esmeralda and Phoebus are happy!

Act l
The birthday of Prince Siegfried is being celebrated. His mother friends and courtiers congratulate him. The festivities draw to an end, the guests depart, leaving the prince alone with his dreams of a pure, ideal love.

Act II
Siegfried finds himself on the banks of a mysterious lake. In the shimmering patches of moonlight on the water, visions of bewitched swan maidens rise up before him. Siegfried catches sight of Odette, the most beautiful of the maidens. He is spell-bound, deeply struck by her beauty. At long last, he has found his romantic ideal of love. He swears to Odette that he will love her forever and be faithful to her.

 

Act III

Prospective brides-to-be are arriving at the Princess Mother’s castle. The Prince must chose one of them to be his wife. But Siegfried can think of nothing but Odette and his meeting of her. Not one of them can compare to his ideal.

A mysterious knight arrives at the ball accompanied by a beautiful young girl. It is the Evil Genius and Odile, Odette’s double. Struck by their resemblance, Siegfried hurries towards Odile. He announces Odile to be his chosen bride. At this very moment, a vision of the beautiful Odette appears before. Siegfried rushes after the white swan.

 

The swan-maidens stand dejected and sad. Odette has told them what has happened. Siegfried’s conscience is deeply troubled; he hurries towards Odette begging for her forgiveness. Siegfried grapples with the sorcerer. Love has broken the evil spell.

Act l

City-folk is making preparations for the fest in a hurry, nobody pays attention at hungry and chilled Mary who is selling lollipops. Somebody pushes Mary in a hurry and she falls down. Unknown boy helps her to get up. They become friends and start to play.

At that time Herr Silberhaus buys a wooden Nutckracker for his son. Mary notices an unusual toy and pays all her attention to it forgetting about new friend. She is following after Herr Silberhaus, he notices her and turns Mary away. The Family Silberhaus is preparing for an evening party. Fritz runs into the room wearing the mask of Mouse King and frightens the present company. Herr Silberhaus puts a magician suit and makes a performance. Servants put some gifts out, but Fritz doesn`t like anything. They offer him sweets and Christmas treats. Mary is looking at this scene through the window. Joy irradiates her face when she sees that parents give their son a new toy - the Nutcracker. Fritz is not interested in playing with a new toy and he breaks The Nutcracker. Scared by his own action he throws the toy through the window. Mary picks the broken toy up with a pity, and binds it with a scarf, that a boy gave her on the street. Mary is nursing the toy and falls asleep on the street.

Mary has a strange dream that Fritz turns into the cunning Mouse and wants to chew on The Nutckracker. He tries to take the toy from her. Mary resists. The three-headed Mouse Queen comes to help Fritz. There are more and more rodents. Suddenly the wooden toy comes alive and protects the poor girl. The Nutcracker and his true soldiers join the battle. The Queen demands her soldiers to launch the attack, then step back with a loss. The Queen, who left alive, swears to avenge The Nutcracker. Suddenly Mary notices that The Nutcracker turns into the living person. The girl is dancing among the snowflakes in her dream. She sees that The Nutcracker asks her to go with him in Konfiturenburg , the capital of his dollish kingdom.

Act II
The Nutcracker is waited in Konfiturenburg. The Sugar Plum Fairy and Prince Orshade with their train meet the guests. Suddenly the three-headed Mouse Queen appears and attacks them. But she is defeated again and finally disappears. The Sugar Plum Fairy gives Mary a big basket of candies. Mary realizes finally that The Nutcracker is nothing but a toy and all persons around her are toys too. She doesn`t want to be a beautiful but soulless doll. She says goodbye to The Nutcracker and goes away from Konfiturenburg.

 

Epilogue
Sleeping Mary is chilled. The girl wakes up in arms of that boy from the street who has helped her yesterday and became her friend. The boy has just saved Mary giving her warm of his soul and heart.

Young and powerful king Shahriyar goes hunting, but suddenly returns to the Palace. There he finds his beloved wife in the arms of a slave. The deceived husband cruelly executed the infidel and the slave.In a fit of rage, he comes to a terrible decision – to execute all young girls of the country. Scheherazade is full of desire to save the girls and soften anger of the king. Love wakes up in Shahriyar's heart. But he is steadfast. Scheherazade must die. Then the beauty begins to tell her fairy tales to Shahriyar.

She tells stories about how young Aladdin fell in love with Princess Budur, and about Sinbad, a sailor who falls in love with a girl captured by the terrible bird Rukh. He saves the girl and kills the sinister bird. And Ali-Baba, who finds the treasures of the robbers and takes possession of them. His servant Mardzhana helps him to get rid of the gang of villains.

A thousand and one nights will bring Shahriyar to the beautiful land of the tales of Scheherazade and he finds faith in love and goodness. Shahriyar and Scheherazade lived in love and happiness. Shahriyar continued to hunt, and Scheherazade, as legend has it, was always faithful to him.

The young prince Bahram is on a hunt and rides full speed through forests and across country. His brave beloved Aisha follows him. The Vizir who wants to get the royal power and other hunters are left behind. Left alone Bahram and Aisha gave the reins to their passion. They are interrupted by Vizir. He leads Bahram into the secret cave. There are faded pictures of seven beautiful women from different countries on the walls of the cave. Bahram falls into the dreamland where the beauties are alive. The women make love to Bahram and he forgets about everything. Vizir pickes one moment and steals the crown. Aisha tries to win back the lost love of Bahram and to open his eyes to Vizir`s perfidy. Vizir interrupts Aisha and kills her. The retaliation quickly follows the betrayer. For the last time Bahram hugs his lost ladylove, that he gave up for the illusive pleasure. Seven beauties appear around the unhappy lovers and then disappear once for all. Bahram goes away into the desert and disappears beyond the horizon.

Act I

The Father tells his sons about the thief who ruined their crops. He sends Gavrila and Danila to catch the criminal. Ivan leaves the barn in secret. Suddenly a Mare jumps out. Ivan grasps her tail. The Mare asks him to let her go and gifts him two horses and one little humpbaked horse. Meanwhile the Firebirds are flying over the field. Ivan and his Little Humpbacked Horse rush after them. Danila and Gavrila prawl across the field. They notice two horses and take them away. Ivan comes back with a magical Firebird feather. He sees that the horses disappeared and cries bitterly. The Little Humpbacked Horse pacifies him and leads him to pursue the abductors.

The Tsar arrives on town square. Two brothers come with the horses. The Tsar likes the horses and he wants to get them but brothers demand a payment. The Tsar orders his equerry to seize the horses from brothers and to deliver in his stable. The equerry can`t master this horses and horses lunge at the Tsar. Meanwhile Ivan with his Little Humpbacked Horse storms in the square and pacifies the horses. As a reward for a help, the Tsar appoints Ivan to a post of his equerry.

The former equerry comes to Ivan in secret and steals the Firebird feather. He brings it to the Tsar. The Tsar is excited, he is waving the feather and suddenly the Firebirds and The Tsar Maiden materialize and vanish. The former equerry gives him advice to send Ivan for the Tsar Maiden. Ivan is in despair but the Little Humpbacked Horse is going to help him.

Act II

The Tsar Maiden lives on the end of the Earth among the Firebirds. Ivan and the Little Humpbacked Horse flew in. Ivan is enchanted by the Tsar Maiden. The Little Humpbacked Hors sedates the Tsar Maiden and Ivan brings her to the Tsar.

The Tsar Maiden wakes up. The Tsar wants to marry her immediately, but the Tsar Maiden demands to get her ring from the seabed. The former equerry gives the Tsar the advice to send Ivan for the ring. Ivan and the Little Humpbacked Horse go to obey orders. On the ocean floor the Sea Princess appears. Ivan asks her to help him and the Princess gives him the ring in the box.

Ivan and the Little Humpbacked Horse arrive in the royal palace. The Tsar puts the ring on the finger of the Tsar Maiden, but she demands him to bring back his youth before wedding. He should have a bath in boiling water. The former equerry advises to test this on Ivan. The Little Humpbacked Horse works a spell under the cauldron and Ivan dives into it. He comes up transformed into handsome Prince. The Tsar

elbows all people away, "plump! in the cauldron and boiled to death". The Tsar Maiden and Ivan appears. Everyone welcomes the lovers.

First act
Everybody in Seville salutes the Toreador Escamillo who has just arrived. Micaela appears. She has arrived to meet her groom Jose. Jose goes on sentry at the tobacco factory. Carmen is among working the girls. Her beauty and grace steal all men hearts. Jose alone doesn`t pay attention to impudent Gypsy, but she throws a flower to him. Captivated by beautiful Gypsy, Jose takes the flower and sniffs its scent. Micaela, who has come to her groom, notices that Jose went cold on her. Scuffling girls break the peace of tobacco factory. Carmen is blamed. Lieutenant Zuniga orders Jose to arrest her and lead into prison. Being alone with Jose, Carmen seduces him and he helps her to escape. Zuniga arrests Jose when finds out the truth. Le Remendado at the head of the smugglers watches their money in the tavern. Zuniga and his soldiers appear and everybody has a lot of fun. At the height of fun Carmen comes. Zuniga calls her to leave the tavern with him. She refuses. The smugglers offer Carmen some risky business. Jose gets into the tavern. The Gypsy uses all her fascination to keep him. At that time Zuniga comes back and tries to seduce Carmen. Irate Jose attacks Zuniga and kills him. Now he has no choice but to become a smuggler.
Second act

Smugglers go out on the case. Jose and Carmen are with them. Trespassers meet soldiers on their way. Carmen tries to use her fascination and beauty. The contraband fails because Jose is mad of jealousy. They start to fight, smugglers kill soldiers and Carmen has a quarrel with Jose. Jose is driven out of the gang and he stays alone. Micaela comes, she wants Jose to go home with her. Carmen appears again. Jose makes a final choice, but Carmen doesn`t love him no more. Escamillo with well-dressed Frasquita and Mersedes are among the townsfolk. The Toreador notices Carmen and pays all his attention to her. At that time Jose is looking for her. Happy Carmen is next to

Escamillo. Jose begs Carmen to get back. Carmen answers that her heart belongs to another man, and it`s all over with Jose. Jose goes out of his mind and stabs Carmen.

The heroic drama is telling the story of mordovian country girl, who headed the rebel forces during the uprising under the leadership of Stepan Razin (1669-1671). Suffered a defeat Alyona was defamed of sorcery and was committed to the stake as a heretic. She met her death with honor in the name of the freedom of a peasant class.

Prologue
Don Quixote, having read his fill of romances about knights and chivalry, decides to set off on his travels in order to achieve great feats. As his sword-bearer, he chooses the loyal Sancho Panza.
Act I
In front of Lorenzo´s in Barcelona, a holiday crowd has gathered. Kitri, daughter of the

innkeeper, is flirting with Basilio, the barber, who is in love with her. Finding them together Lorenzo, Kitri’s father, chases Basilio away. Lorenzo intends Kitri to marry Gamache, a rich nobleman. Kitri refuses outright to submit to her father’s will. At the height of the merry-making, Don Quixote appears in the square. Seeing Kitri, Don Quixote thinks she is the beautiful Dulcinea whom he has seen in his dreams and chosen as ‘the lady of his heart’. Amidst the general confusion, Kitri and Basilio slip away unobserved. Lorenzo, Gamache and Don Quixote set out to look for her.
Act II
In the glade by the windmills is a sprawling gipsy encampment. Don Quixote catching sight of the windmills, mistakes them for evil magicians. Don Quixote attacks the windmill. Grabbing a mill sail, he is first lifted into the air and then falls to the ground.

In his dreams, Don Quixote sees Dulcinea. The forest is transformed into the beautiful Kingdom of the Dryads. Among them is Kitri, who has assumed the form of Dulcinea, the queen of his heart. Cupid presents Don Quixote to the Queen of the Dryads.

Act III
Kitri and Basilio are hiding in a tavern. Here they are found by Lorenzo, Gamache and Don Quixote. Lorenzo wishes to make an immediate announcement of the betrothal of Kitri and Gamache. But Basilio, by agreement with Kitri, pretends to take his life. Kitri sobs over the body of her sweetheart. Don Quixote over cоme by noble indignation accuses Lorenzo of hard heartedness and, threatening him with his sword forces him to agree to his daughter’s marriage with Basilio jumps to his feet. There is no point in him pretending to be dead am longer.

The festivities. Don Quixote is the guest of honour. The happy lovers dance for him. All thank the valiant knight and his faithful sword-bearer. Wishing the newly-weds every happiness, the knight-errant departs in search of new adventures.
